The star has made light of the incident by tweeting images of people throwing chairs - but also tried to explain what had happened
However, the star has insisted he wasn't "flipping out", instead claiming it was actually a reaction to receiving some "bad" news.
Responding to a reporter on Twitter, he tweeted: "No one is flipping out dude. My buddy had just told me some bad personal news. Don't lie please. #IllShowYou (sic)"
He added: "Just took pics with a bunch of Beliebers, I must have been made at them. Lol (sic)"

Justin had been filmed by an onlooker on their mobile phone losing his temper while eating al fresco in Cannes on Friday. He is seen eating with a pal wearing a dark red beanie hat, a black t-shirt and ripped jeans when he suddenly gets up and storms off, leaving a waiter to pick up the chair.
It is not known what exactly upset the 21-year-old singer but he tweeted to fans after the footage was published on TMZ.
Justin also posted: "Letting the music do the talking," before re-tweeting countless videos of people throwing chairs, adding: "I love u guys. This is funny as hell."
Although this incident doesn't seem to be the tantrum it first appeared, it does follow a string of incident where the star has been seen throwing a bit of a hissy fit.
Justin was filmed telling fans how to CLAP during one performance , after storming off stage during another show in Oslo.
